MBCCWA drive to the Southwest

Post by Giles »

Better late than never.

Below is an extract from latest newsletter of MBCCWA for this coming Sunday's event.

Rumour has it that the Southwest numbers may outway the Perth group. Should be a good day out and the weather forecast is good.

EVENTS CALENDAR – NOVEMBER UPDATE

Dear Members,

We need to know the final numbers by THIS FRIDAY MORNING for our Dardanup/Bunbury run THIS SUNDAY THE 15TH NOVEMBER. Those catering for morning tea and lunch need to know this asap.

Lunch is now provided free, courtesy of Coastal Autos in Bunbury.

All we have to pay is our entrance fee into the Heritage Park ($12.00 adult/$5.00 child) and $8.00 for morning tea. This is scones/jam/pinwheel sandwiches/slices/crackers with the usual tea/coffee selection. Something for everyone!

I will have to collect monies before we go in and pay as a group. There are NO CARD FACILITIES available, they accept cheque or cash only for the day. Please have cash or a cheque for me.

It will be a great family day to meet potential members in the South West (see below). There will be lots to see and do for the whole family. This is a new event for our club, so let’s all make an effort to participate have a great drive and meet fellow enthusiasts.

A route map will be given out at our two meeting points (see below). We will be driving straight to Dardanup first, then onto Bunbury later for lunch.

Details are:
We kick off from Parliament Place, West Perth at 8.30am sharp and from Cockburn Central Railway Station car park at 9.15 sharp – you chose which departure point depending on convenience. Route maps will be provided, but it’s an easy drive.

Re: MBCCWA drive to the Southwest

The MBCCWA has their annual South West run yesterday.

It seems a shame when only half a dozen cars come from Perth for the event and one was wasn't even a Benz, a bloody 200? Bentley Coupe.

I turned up for the Bunbury connection only to find that not many had bothered to make the trip from Perth on such a beautiful day. It actually made me feel embarased for the President, some much so I pulled out from the event.

Is it me or are most MB Clubs made up mainly of retiree members that would rather talk tea and scones than motor vehicles?

If there are any WA Oz Benz Members that would like to occasionally get together and chew the fat etc, well lets perhaps form (socially) the Best From The West Friends of Ozbenz or something like that.

Regards,

Giles
