Gave the old girl a wash and took her on a SDCC 'economy run' today..... and didn't come last! They adjusted for weight (1870kg on the weigh bridge with 3 on board) but still a long way from first....first car back though. Was hard work though, windows down, roof open through Adelaide hills and don't sink your boot and listen to the lovely music it makes..... but still not a bad burble. Anyway, went to put it away and thought 'that looks pretty as a picture' so i took one to share.

KimR's car looks gorgeous!
Is it still in two tone or did the lower panels get sprayed?
It's hard to tell unless in very even lighting or in person

That black? Coupe with the AMG kit and Pentas is tough as!
Very jealous

The white coupe used to be two tone with the grey lower cladding etc and i sprayed it out arctic white - getting an exact match on a plastic part is hard unless the whole car is re-sprayed at the same time as plastic never seems to match perfect with a metal panel for some reason - especially in white which is a hard colour to match.

I have since started doing an AMG Gen2 bodykit conversion which you can see partly finished in this pic with side-skirts not swapped in

Side-skirts now painted and installed
Still undecided on whether to fit the AMG boot-lid spoiler (lip or larger wing as have both).
I sort of like the clean look without anything so will have to mull over that decision for while

This looks great - I'm in Perth and have seen your car at cars and coffee - I'm looking at purchasing one myself (there is a Pajett red one in NSW currently for sale) so might try and find you at the next one (I can't go this weekend) and ask you some questions!

Hey everyone, this is my new toy, 84 380sel, I'm a big lwb fan, have had few Ltds, fair fairlanes and statesman, been looking for a SEL in Blue-Green for a while and when I saw this I jumped on it, body is in pretty good condition and so is the interior apart from a crack in driver's seat.
it's been sitting in storage for a while so not starting atm but hopefully I'll get it going soon.
will post more photos once I get some more time
Gary
