Bluetooth connector

Post by Jelfes »

The Bluetooth interface on my 2009 CLC200 pairs with the phone no problem and works well. But when the engine is turned off and back on you have to pair the phone again. The car Bluetooth does not automatically reconnect with the phone.

I've been reading articles on the net and it was common with this model and similar models from 2007 - 2011.

The fix was to fit a Bluetooth adapter to the module that's located in the centre console under the armrest, as shown in the attached photo.

Does anyone know what type of module this is and where I can get a Bluetooth adaptor that will work,?

I'm assuming you have an NT.40 Command unit.
Common to C and E class of the period.
Your problem should be a software update at the stealers - if they can be bothered to do it.
Bluetooth should work while the Command unit is still on even when the engine is off. On my E Class the NTG 4.0 Command system is time dependent after shutting down the engine or until the drivers door is opened.

Otherwise there's a Viseoo MB4 bluetooth interface which should match into the connector in your centre console. (if you can find one - They are or were around $400 - $500)

There after aftermarket Bluetooth modules which will give you Carplay or Android functions around $700.00
Or you can go the whole nine yards and get a 10 inch touch screen bluetooth Android/Apple functions. Around $1,400 fitted
Both integrate with your car controls.

Thankyou for all the informtion.
I will contact mercedes about the firmware update.
I've seen the viseoo modules on ebay going from $300 - $400 used but I wasn't sure if it fitted my car.
