First W114/115 Club meeting in Munich attended

Post by T-Modell »

Hi guys,

we attended our first "Strich-8" Club meeting (Stroke-8) in Munich. Nearly 100 cars attended, very nice people and - may I be so bold to say "as usual" - there was a lot of interest in the ute  . Two more V8 conversions as well as a long wheel base were there too. It was also the first really long drive for the ute ... all in all roughly 1,300kms ...

Regards
Thomas

Double meaning ... don't know, if you're aware ... but if a German speaks of "oldtimers" he means classic cars

Nope, there was a shuttle service to the hotels with one 60s Merc Bus and this stretch limo, roughly 1 metre longer

Well, one was an "old" one with a 5.6, but I didn't have the time to have a closer look. The other one - and I know it sounds arrogant - was just finished and imho "not so nice". One example, he used a 500SE W126 as a doner, where the oil filter is upright and in the way. So he just put a "half-round-hole" in the longitudanal beam :banghead: ... he asked me then, how I solved it (he saw the result) and I just said "standard R107 500SL"
