76 450 SLC

Post by stuartm »

I have a problem with the flashers on a 1976 450SLC.
I've tried the usual things and decided I need an expert.
Does anyone known an auto electrician on the Sunshine Coast who understands MB's of that age?
I would appreciate any advice.

Well,
isn't one reason for that forum to exist, that here the "unusual" things can be suggested?  Why don't you describe a bit more in detail and/or attach a photo of the problem?

Regarding sunshine coast: I'd love to live there, but I cannot. So unfortunately no recommendations for a workshop.

Regards
Thomas

Hi mate I don't know a MB expert here on the coast, but call Battery Wise at Warana and ask for Michael, tell him Murray suggested you try him. Very knowledgeable guy and can hopefully help.

If you haven't read it yet, I suggest you take a look through the flasher troubleshooting checklist in viewtopic.php?t=27181

Look up MercMad in the membership listings.
He is a specialist on pre '80's Benz's.
He's down in Brisbane but might be able to get you pointed in the right direction.

There's a MB specialist in Kunda Park - SVS Autocare however I've never been there myself.

I've just recently had to take my W212 from Noosa down to Brisbane to find a MB specialist with Xentry/Star diagnosis - Auststar motors. - they have some tech's who are knowledgeable on older Benz's
