Front wiper arm extending out too far.

Post by newMercowner69 »

Lately "Wagner" has been experiencing /having difficulty/problem,
With his R/H "eye" (wiper arm extending out too far),
Last friday gone driving along Fitzroy Street St Kilda,
When the heavens opened up massive downpour,
My wiper blade came out&off completely,
I barely made it home alive,
After hitting a roadsign on Diamond Creek road ! :(,
I was extremely appreciative&grateful the only damage sustained to poor old 'Wagner",
Was the R/H side indicator lamp/repeater was dislodged i simply popped it back in&,
Now it's working again,
SO...... on to the wiper problem i've replaced wiper blades with Burson, Repco&SCA (Super faeces Auto),
Both of the later branded ones of the 2x different brands 1x wouldn't fit(stay in) SCA ,
The previous Repco branded one came out completely&now the new Repco one the wiper arm extends out too far.
I've had the wiper gear wheel replaced perviously,
What's both the problem&common fix/solution to this problem?,
Apologies&sorry for long winded post......

Is the part of the arm that holds the blade fully inserted into the mechanism - Sounds like it is only partway attached. There are quite a few W202s at Imachs at the moment if you want a replacement mechanism.
