R107 Window regulator replacement

Does anyone know if the window regulator on an 82 r107 (with power windows) can be removed without removing the window glass?
Secondary to this, as you may have guessed, I'm after a driver's side regulator, I'm in Sydney.

do you mean this part here?


I haven't done it with the R107, but I assume, it is the same with my W115 ... there it was possible to take it out by leaving the glass in.

P. S.: If it is bent or broken, don't get a used one ... you will have the same problem again. If the part number A1077200746 is correct, it's available still, however for a nice price of 688 EUR afaik

Thanks Thomas. It's similar. I can get it for about 450usd plus shipping genuine mb part, but if I can get a decent used one, I can get a rebuild kit.
I rarely use my car, so another one should out last me...

I got a few leads on the weekend locally which I'll try first.
The regulator broke at the scissor pivot point (vertical crack to the left of the pin).
I'm not sure of this could be re welded?
