What a waste :(

I noticed when the hubcaps came off, the wheels are painted the same colour as the car? Was that a factory thing or been done after?

Definitely English Red

Have seen this video a few times over the years, it doesn't get easier to watch every time... that poor 108

Early 108s had the wheels painted in the body colour because they didn't have full wheel trims, just the 'dog dish' centre cap. Was the same with Fintail models (although I think the up spec models had the outer trim ring as standard so rims were painted black).

I very much doubt it is a Mercedes-Benz colour. Look carefully it was originally a light beige sort of colour, you can see it when the body moulds come off and under the bumpers. Classic Hollywood quick paint job where nothing is removed just mask and shoot...

I like that it is a column change.
