What interior trim is 465?

Trying to find the colour of my interior on my 75 280S (Australian delivered). Datacard says 465 (unless I'm looking i the wrong spot) but all I read says it should start with 0,1,2 or 9??? My wife says it's leather. Checked out W16.org with not much luck.

The closest seems to be Leder Creme (265) on http://www.meinbenz.de/polster/116/polster116.htm but mine seems to be more white. What do you reckon?

I just checked and I'm 99% sure its MB Tex - no wrinkles in the side cushions...

I have just found the answer, just seen another interior the identical colour/material as mine with code 165. So looks like it was a misprint. Cheers for all the help!!!

Which translates to Parchment, but I had a look at a couple of sites and can't match it to the number 465.

And definitely MB tex, which is most likely on the 280. But if broaching the topic with the wife who said leather, that's exactly what their aim was in producing the material to look like leather. Much, much easier to live with MBtex - leather unlikely to look that good after all those years. I've heard it predicted that at some point in the future there will just be cockroaches and mbtex left on earth!

Do mb-tex and leather feel the same to touch and sit in?

In a 1975 car, the leather will likely have cracks and tears unless all the previous owners have fastidiously nourished the leather regularly.

In answer to Cameron's question, good condition soft leather I would say does have a softer feel and I would say is 'better' in that way, but just so much harder to look after and not the longevity of the mbtex.
