Differential bearings part numbers.

Post by newMercowner69 » Sat 10 Aug, 2019 9:03 pm

Does anyone know both the GENUINE O. E. M. ORIGINAL MB differential bearings part numbers or aftermarket genuine O. E. M. original bearing supplier to MB part numbers?,
I don't ⛔🚫 have access to,
Nor list them in my bearing application catalogs,
They're for my :1997 C200/W202 T Elegance "Wagner" wagon.

Even with the number, unless you have the tools and experience, you can't set the diff up yourself. Even I sublet these to a diff specialist as getting the crownwheel and pinion alignment is critical. I could do it myself if I had time, but it really is a specialist job.

"Wagner" wagons Dr's/surgeon's going to work on the differential not myself,
I both don't have a repair /service manual,
Nor tools or knowledge to do so.

I know what you are asking, so you can hunt down the parts first before they work on it - but i just don't know a source for that info. Once they pull the diff out there will be numbers stamped on the bearings no doubt. Also I would expect a manufacturers part number (MB don't make bearings) and from that you could probably find cross reference charts for different manufacturers. Has anyone got one in pieces or a used diff you could pull apart?

I'd assume John would know what the MB part numbers are,
I've looked, searched on EBay,
There're some sellers selling either genuine original o. e. m. bearings,
As well as genuine original one. e. m. supplier to MB,
BUT without the MB part numbers,
I can't enquire to my bearings supplier availability&cost,
Nothing found on the net either :(.
