C320 and C350 diesels

Post by Don-vic » Thu 11 Jul, 2019 10:31 am

New to the C class forum but long time contributor to W124 section.
I’m seriously considering the purchase of a late model V6 diesel C class as my daily drive. I have had a long association with diesels. My research indicates that both the 320 and 350 are based on the same 3 lt engine with the only difference being the far superior performance of the 350. Can a knowledgeable forum reader tell me what changes have been made to achieve this performance and what other major differences are there between these models. Are there any issues or faults that I should be aware of or look out for with either model?
I don’t mind paying a price premium for the newer and better performing C350 as long as reliability and running costs are not adversely affected..
