New, original key ignition barrel

Post by c124 » Tue 11 Jun, 2019 4:38 pm

Hi All

Does anyone know if it is possible to get a new ignition barrel from MB or elsewhere based on the VIN? I’ve currently got the annoying two key approach - original door locks, second-hand ignition, and trying to get this car back to original.

Thanks in advance

I think in the past you could but don't know the current situation or cost. Might be worth talking to a good 'old school' locksmith about matching locks and comparing the cost.

You can make the door / boot locks match the Ignition Key if it is a single key solution you are after.
