300 TD Where Is The Cargo Bay Light Switch???

Hi

Ref the above: I have pulled out the bulbs and holder and they test ok

I cannot determine what controls the light

Where is the cargo bay light switch / switched on from

All help appreciated

i don't have a wagon, but it's probably a reverse momentary switch just like the boot on the sedans and coupes, look for a small black rod that presses in when the boot lid is closed :)

There is a master switch in the center console. I remember this from a very funny story.

Some 25 odd years ago we had a 300TD and after a night out on a Mercedes-Benz club event two older :drunken: gentlemen decided that they would ride in the kids seats for the trip home. We pulled up at a set of lights with another club members car right behind ours, the gentlemen in question then started pulling faces at the other car, thinking that as it was dark, they would not be seen. That was until I put the rear cabin light on. :laugh@: :laugh@: :laugh@:

Mine had a rotary switch beside the light so the passengers could turn it on. I think it also had a setting to come on when the tailgate opened
