Mystery 190SL in bits slightly less mysterious
I'm getting closer to some useful information on the whereabouts of a supposed 190SL, dismantled for restoration by its owner in SA and unwanted by his less handy widow. The source of the rumour is a local vintage car restorer, who asked me if I knew anyone who could tell the lady what the shed full of parts might be worth. I advised the guy that an inventory should be done, for which access to the car was needed. 'I'll ask,' he said, and that's where it got to. Apparently the vintage guy now has some details. I'm seeing him tomorrow, and I'll report back here.

First, apologies for not clearing this up earlier. The trail to this car in pieces was not easy to follow.
Someone here may know more about this, but I've finally discovered that the car was in the eastern suburbs of Adelaide, and has been bought by a discerning gentleman from Melbourne for a little over $100,000.
