EPC Lookup Request

Post by astroe » Thu 02 Aug, 2018 1:07 am

Hello everyone!

I'm almost at the last step of my heater blower motor mystery issue.
The Russian site I used gave me these options:

Can anyone please tell me which one is the correct one via EPC?
The VIN is WDB1240282C189965.

It's going to be between A 124 820 06 08 (ONLY USED WITH AUTOMATIC AIR CONDITIONER) and A 124 820 13 08 (ONLY USED WITH HEATING AUTOMATICS AND WITH TEMPMATIK) as both are the cabin filter models.

Thank you!

Looking up the heater fans on these is always a drama. We have access to the MB system and even then it still gives these options, rather than just the one your car had fitted to it. The most common option I have seen is A124 820 13 08.

I would be inclined to agree with your conclusion of it being the 124 820 13 08 - do you have any left lying around? Haha.

Rationale is that the US aftermarket scene is flooded with the 124 820 06 08 model and all the US cars I have seen so far had the single dial temperature controls (from photos of car ads). That would imply that this is the automatic air conditioning model (set one temp and it will maintain) and not Tempmatik.
