Yes, the exhaust was the crowing achievement, the pedal - can't miss it- but it was the gaff (or duct tape) that was the 'piece de resistance'. Just gorgeous. Matched the blackened grille beautifully...

More to the point though - the odo reads 535971 miles - which is 865,261 km! I'll bet that's when the odo failed (given that is a common problem on W126s) and NOT when the car 'failed to proceed'.
