in order to drive it for a few months I would have to relocate it from Qld to WA or go and live there for such period.
I expect that it will be easier to sell on east coast rather than from WA and,I must confess that, after two years of waiting I have somewhat lost my passion. I might even say that I rather regret ever embarking upon this project. Sad but..............there it is.
It is my plan to quit all of my MBs and use the funds and energy thus released to re-establish my, previously very successful Merino stud.

Fair enough - I can understand how you feel. Sometimes the waiting game and the never-ending expenses can fog the horizon to the point where you can't see it.

It'll be a sad day when you sell - but if Merino's are your thing, then can you sell the woolgrease back to fellow ozbenzers so we can rustproof our cars?
:occasion5:

At least drive it for a day or two when it's done. Just so you can feel that you accomplished something and it wasn't a wasted effort.

OFF TOPIC but.................
Interesting thing about wool grease (the proper name for which is Lanolin) is that when we sell our wool they weigh a sample before washing out all impurities including lanolin. It is then dried and weighed again and the actual weight of wool calculated. this is called "the yield". We are only paid for the actual wool and not for the lanolin which is then sold for as much, if not more than, the value of the wool. And you reckon MB dealers are sharp.

Ahhhh AMG. I am awake up to you "drive it for a few days" you say. Are you a salesman? I ask because this is called the "puppy dog technique".
This is where a salesman selling a puppy (or any other product) says "I understand that you don't want to but it but could you just take it home and look after it for a few days".

No, I just think it would be a terrible waste of effort to not enjoy the fruits of your labour ( and $$$$) once it's completed.

If you don't allow yourself to have a sense of satisfaction and completion, then you're not ever going to be happy about it.

There.s not much left to do to the old girl (boy) just the picky little odds and ends needed for the finishing . It certainly starts and runs well.

I have taken your advice and have now decided to bring Konrad home to WA together with his "disabled" brother (donor 300se lang).
I have a couple of quotes for Rocklea to Perth but any suggestions would be appreciated.

The issue with most of these carriers is the laziness to accept anything that requires a modicum of intelligence to operate or move. If it's not under its' own power, then they basically don't want to know about it - so you're looking for a small-operator who will take care of your stuff.

Craig might know how to get stuff to Adelaide - he managed to get Lurch down there without too much hassle, and at the time Lurch wasn't running.

I think you'll be happy when you see Konrad back home. :occasion5:
