Motorclassica 2014-Melbourne

Post by markb »

All,

Motorclassica is on again in Melbourne next weekend and as usual the MBCV is displaying a group of cars in the forecourt on the Saturday, 25/10/2014. This year we have been allocated to the north-east side of the Royal Exhibition Buildings (Nicholson Street side) Event details are:

Come say hello if you are there. Hopefully I'll have time to give my old girl a wash and one of it's six-monthly, pre-event vacuums :naughty:

Cheers

Great variety of cars, I was able to go today. The 220 SL was divine.

For those of you who have entered the show judging (or know of someone who has), who did you get to restore/detail your car?

Fantastic day here today. And yes the 220SL was sure a very unique motor car. Met up with MarkB and others from MBCV. Coupla nice Delages, a Cord, Buicks and Packards too!

Greet to meet you today Steve. There was also a MBClub QLD guy I chatted to, who was trying to find Rob Green [JG's dad].
All in all a fun day, great display and group of cars and guys. Well Done to George B from MBCV for organising for the club.

For those of us in the club display, most of the cars are original or restored mainly by their owners, with the odd specialist job farmed-out as required.

Is there any particular specialist that you require (ie. bodywork/spraying or perhaps chrome plating) as most of us have had good, bad and sometimes ugly experiences within different parts of Melbourne :banghead:
