MBCV Goldfields Register
“Summer in the Park”
Malmsbury & Daylesford – Sunday, 2nd February 2014
Yes folks, what better to do during those lazy, hazy days of summer, than jump in your
Benz and drive to Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens in Daylesford for a self-catered picnic in
the cool mountain air and beautiful surrounds of the gardens. Weather too hot? Then leave
the classic at home and come in your air-conditioned, plastic-bumpered daily drive!
We will meet at the Malmsbury Bakery for morning-tea before the short drive through
Glenlyon to Daylesford. The picnic is BYO everything, or you may prefer to make use of the
excellent Wombat Hill House Café, at least for an ice-cream or a coffee.
BOOKINGS: Please confirm with Jeff Dorman (0417 125 853 or
pullmancar@bigpond.com) by TUESDAY 28th JANUARY.
If the weather forecast on the day is predicted a scorcher, I will ring intended participants
to confirm alternative arrangements/date.
MEETING POINT: Outside Malmsbury Bakery, Malmsbury @ 10.30am for 11.15am
departure. Depending on your origin point, you may prefer to drive directly to Daylesford –
please let me know.

I hope to get to this one..great for the small towns to bring in some revenue too..

Keep an eye out as you enter Malmsbury for a large building site on the right hand side...it's my current work 'baby' the Malmsbury Youth Detention Centre expansion.

The MBCV website advises that this event has been postponed, no doubt due to the 41 degree forecast for Melbourne on Sunday, which would be even hotter up there !! :Doh:
