MB Club Qld Concourse 14-8-11

Post by treedoc »

Qld MB Club will be holding their Concourse again at Orminston House, Ormiston on Sunday the 14 th of August this year
Great location, manicured lawns, shade trees, Scottish Pipe & Drum Band, good clean facilities, nice view across Moreton Bay and best of all the tea / coffee and scones are are better than at Hungry Jacks

Hi John & Stig,

John, I don't know about other bands but they useually include a fashion parade maybe you could come in lederhosen, weather might have wormed up by then.

Stig, have not seen a modified class in previous years, you could ring the chief judge Vaughan Keenan on 0417 057 150.
is yours another crome plated 107 ?

Just one week to go till the MBCQLD Concourse, are you ready?
Don't leave it till the last minute to prep your DB or you could end up like the two maniacs below, in such a hurry to get there ended up covered with splatted bugs.

Sorry Mercurial, only took a couple of photos this year, hopefully others might like to post a few of theirs,

Great day as usual, good weather, manicured lawns, lots of shade trees, nice view over the Bay and best of all scones jam and cream the way Gran Ma made it.

Peter standing between his R129 SL500 and our 300SEL commented on how many people gave the 109 a through once over, neither of us even came close to taking out a prise.

Richard recently arrived in Australia and bought his gold W113 over with him.

300SEL ran like a clock all weekend and back to it's garage in Tewantin today, then the fuel pump decided to quit

Hey Geoff,
The concours was a great day.
I had my head in engine bays from 9.30am-1.30pm
After that I wandered around just enjoying the beautiful cars.
This year there were many new hands-on owners.

I looked at your beautiful 300sel but I couldn't find you anywhere.

About the fuel pump,
is it one of the old ones or a modern one?

cheers

Saw you a few time but you where always busy.
Fuel pump thankfully one of those old ones.
I threatened it with a three pound masons hammer this morning and it sprung back into life immediately.
Nothing like simple technowlogy
