Re: Shannons Queensland Autospectacular Sunday 10th April 20
I would love to come along, however the "new 240D" does need a bit of a clean & tidy and totally full day tomorrow. Also due to me having been in Adelaide last weekend, my dear wife has requested that Sunday be a family day this weekend...
I would probably get bored with looking at cars after a short while, but it would be nice to meet you Paolo and Dave and anyone else going!

Re: Shannons Queensland Autospectacular Sunday 10th April 20
Finally back home and I can upload some pics! Weather was perfect - fantastic day for looking at lots of nice cars – sadly there were no benzes apart from a W126 280SE for sale right in the far corner of the swaps area and a 300D with NT plates in the spectator parking lot - but still plenty of eye candy.
Given the large number of hod rods, I reckon Frankenbenz would have been very well received and would have stood out nicely as something different – whataya reckon about next year Drew???
The variety of cars was quite broad, lots of large American lead sleds from the 50's, 60's and 70's - from the brilliantly restored...
To the downright huge...
and the crazily modified...
to the survivors – Paolo admiring a 400,000 mile unrestored 48-215...
Lots of immaculate GT falcons...
Anyone remember 'running on empty'?...
Another entrant enjoying a sunday drive in the crown vic.
Thanks for the ride Paolo! I owe you one mate! Was a top day!
