People are just silly, you could get a brand new set of genuine 15"x 7" bundts for not much more, and they look a damn sight better.
Umm, where from? I up for a set at that price if you can get them.

$448 actually, following is from the newsletter they sent out:

15" Bundt Wheels

Based on the huge demand for the 15" Bundt wheels, we ran out of stock on these very quickly! But rest assured that we restocked just in time for you to get your set and enjoy a late summer drive! Get the authentic 15X7" forged aluminum Bundt wheels for the 107/108/109/113/116/123-series classic Mercedes-Benz models!

Refresh the appearance of your classic while retaining the original look or upgrade from your old 14" Bundt wheels. Part number 126-400-22-02, now available for just $448.00 each (was $560.00). Bolts and caps are not included, but your original set will fit.

You can easily find high quality tires for the 15X7" wheels as they are compatible with standard 205/65VR15 tires. Call our Classic Parts Specialists at 1 866 622 5277 and order your set of Classic Bundt wheels today.

I received that email in November last year, they were advertised a couple of times. Email them.

That would be USD $448- per rim x 4 plus GST plus freight plus other incurred costs isn’t AUD$1500-.
Neither do they have heritage or cred.

I remember getting bits years ago from the UK - hubcaps and some other bits for my Alfa and going just over the import limit. It wasn't just GST, there was duty and then they took the freight i paid for also, added it all up including their tax and charged gst on the lot, so tax on paying the tax! At $448 US I doubt you would get them here for any less than 850. I know that's not the point of the various discussions, just making the point of what the real cost would be for JG considering bringing some in.

Yeah saw that.

Some of the figures seem within the ballpark for a "mint" condition vehicle.

However, I haven't seen any of them - I get the feeling that SLC previously belonged to Chris M though... It looks rather familiar.

Yeah thats a tough one, it's hard to judge a cars value when it has such low km's like that although they make me very skeptical. I think he would be lucky to get $20-$25K, S classes in general are extremely hard to shift on the used market (I follow them regularly on carsales, some have been there 3+ years, price isn't ridiculous either) but the W220 I think would be the hardest of all to shift due to its sketchy reputation.

It's also not perfect, note the dint in the boot.

It's also not a V8. I know not everyone wants a V8, but they seem to demand a premium over there I6/V6 cousins.

Selling due to personal commitments, or rather "I couldn't afford to fix the body".

Why would you fix the mechanicals first?
