Hi all!

This is excellent. I will read thru the threads again and see if I can find some more about who he is.

But since the world is so small nowadays and the fact that I usually find it very easy to get help on foreign forums makes me willing to ignore the distance and langugae-problems.

One question I have right now even before I started the install is where to connect the VR-sensor. To the EDIS-module or to the MS relay-board? Or both?

Also i wonder how you guys do the wiring to the injectors, left/right bank or how?

Did you use the original collant and AIT sensor?

Yes I did sell all my MS stuff to a guy in Sweden. He is on this forum or at least has been in the past, and has successfully installed my system on his 3.5 - he seemed like a smart guy with excellent English and would be a good contact for anyone in Europe.
Most of what I know and did is already in the posts on this thread. I don't know anything useful about the ignition side. However I'm happy to share my fading memories of MS on this thread.
Cheers
Alastair
The New MS uses it's own ignition so there is no need to get a seperate megajolt lite kit to power the ignition.

Hi!

Do you remember what data you entered for the injectors?

I'm the guy in Sweden :)

It has been a long and harsh winter here in Sweden, the merc has been in the garage and I have not been so active on the forums. I just read this thread again and realized it was me you were talking about!

I will be happy to answer any questions, here or through PM, right now I don't have access to the documentation though, so the answers will have to wait until the weekend. I have used the camera in my cell phone extensively throughout the process, originally thinking I would put it into a blog. If there still exists an interest in the mercedes megasquirt conversion a blog could probably be set up in the near future.

This is a very interesting & informative thread.

Here's a video of a conversion in the US:

With the problems I'm having with my 350SLC, this may be a good option.... thinking, thinking....

I just bought a 1972 350SL 4 speed Euro model. It has D-Jet and a few years ago I bought a Megasquit kit, V3 board, and will convert the D-Jet over to Megasquirt. I've had a few running problems due to bad plugs and wires. These are fixed/sorted. Next is a Pertronix points replacement.

It had an alarm system installed with no key or documentation. I had to draw a wiring schematic to figure out what I had and removed both Bosch alarm controllers, switches and wiring.

Thanks for the writeup.

Does anybody know any threads on the interweb about doing the 75-85 k-jetronic engines?

I'd like to research in general, but at the moment I have a question about the fuel injectors and mounting them in the head.
