T51/200 Brake Booster rebuild in Brisbane

Post by dynamike » Sat 26 Aug, 2017 3:38 pm

So the brake booster died in my '65 220S. I had planned to take the one from my donor car but going by the massive amount of brake fluid in it I think it's safe to assume it's no good.

Replacement booster seems rather expensive so I'm wondering if anyone has had theirs rebuild in Brisbane?

PS: edited post to reflect need for actual replacement /rebuilt rather than swapping with donor car.

Thanks but that's always the first thing I do. No answers to my questions there at least not that I could find. If you know some of the answers would love to hear them. Cheers!

Very happy with the work from these guys. Can only recommend!
Before/After below and still a lot cheaper than non-genuine replacement from Germany.

Looks great, I assume they tested it on the bench?

Yes they do bench test them and the boss there tells me has a lot of parts for them too . They've done a bunch of them for me now including Konrads and it's rusted solid master cylinder . I couldn't find a new one for that model because of it's odd design (dunlop rear calipers etc ) .
