Thanks Des

I absolutely love my 2.3-16. I think they are the best looking of all the 190Es and they are a joy to drive. They rev cleanly to the valve limiter at 7000 rpm and give you that 'on the cam feeling' above about 4500 rpm. While low power when compared to modern turbo rice rice rockets, the horsepower is usable, because the chassis handles so sweetly. The car is a very balanced package which means that its easy to achieve and maintain high point to point speeds. Martin Brundle said that these were the best handling sedan of the time. It's a delight on twisty NZ roads, with superb feedback through the steering wheel and seat of the pants. This is where the car shines, in 2nd 3rd and 4th gear point and squirt corners.
