SLS AMG Test-Drive

Post by Michel » Mon 07 May, 2012 2:13 pm

MB finally supplied me with an SLS AMG for a (limited) test drive.

Final impressions are on

There is also a cheeky video that my editor produced unbeknown to me

If you want more photos, let it be known and I'll upload some.

Congrats,

I wouldn't do it, I know myself too well ... too tempting ;-) ... at least I have a similar motor and I will enjoy it as long as it is still possible in this world.

Cons Throttle touchy at low speed on uneven terrain (e.g.: entering or exiting driveways).
Perhaps take off the high heels?
Seriously MB are renowned for their long travel pedal, is this changing?
I don't like the modern cars where idle and WOT is separated by 2cm.

Wonderful to have the opportunity to drive a vehicle of this calibre. Amazing power from a naturally aspirated motor and in a beautifully balanced light body the experience must have been enthralling and exhilarating. And by all accounts comfortable enough to be a daily drive or taken for extended tours. :notworthy:
