Transmission shifting problem

Post by landylro » Wed 04 Nov, 2015 1:18 pm

Ok When I got this 99 320CLK it had a shifting problem when moving at any sped and you floor the accelerator the transmision kicks down but it stays in second gear and will not shift up eventually getting close to max revs everything goes into limp home mode and you have no acceleration. However in manual mode it quite happilly goes thru all the gears. The car has 109000KM on it but trans oild was never changed I changed it and flushed about 8 litres thru it 2 litres at a time changed filter etc checked tran oil level with trans hot 80c and running in P as usual. All OK.
Still same Problem.
I then replaced the conductor plate ( i did not check the solenoids !!!)

refilled tran oil ( am using the correct spec Fuchs) and still the same problem .

Can anyone give me any points??? Could on of th shift solenoids have failed should I replace the shift module this car is obd1 so I cant get any diags.
