Hi fellow OzBenzers,
As above, the distributor shaft on my w115 220 is loose, which regularly knocks the points out and is causing a fairly significant misfire.
Where would one source the replacement bits required? I don't have the faintest idea where to begin looking.
Regards,
Harry

Re: Worn Distributor Shaft - Rebuild or Replace?
It can be repaired, but would not know where or how.
You can step across several decades, and purchase yourself a 123 ignition:
https://www.123ignition.com.au/product/123-merc-4-r-v/
That will solve all problems in one big bang, especially if you get a new coil too.

Re: Worn Distributor Shaft - Rebuild or Replace?
Thanks Bart, I've definitely put that on my wishlist, a little out of budget at the moment, however. Have since been able to rebush the distributor, will keep the points system at the moment until I can afford that 123ignition system and a flamethrower coilBartman4800 wrote: ↑Wed 31 Oct, 2018 4:19 pmhttps://www.123ignition.com.au/product/123-merc-4-r-v/
