Central Locking: a different kind of problem

Post by Eurosnob » Sat 16 Apr, 2016 9:36 pm

Hi All,

I have recently acquired a 2003 A190 and the central locking pump was corroded into uselessness like so many others.

I have just swapped out the whole assembly and I now get a new problem. When I activate the central locking from the key fob I just get a single click from the pump motor like a solenoid activating and nothing else. No whirring, wheezing or anything of that nature.

I checked and swapping out fuse 29 with the same result.

I've looked at Albert Rowe's A class page and this is not covered there that I can see.

Any suggestions?
