Just a Tip.
-1 deg Camber on both front wheels has solved the dreadful outer tyre wear on my new Vito. They all have this problem.

Ok, My Vito is now 9 months old and its a pile of rubbish, when the time comes i will upgrade to a Hyundai I load .
I hate the Clutch, Gearbox, Build quality, rattles and unreliable electrics for a start.

Hi Steve,

few months ago I started often driving a Vito for work related tasks and was disappointed with it overall for the same reasons you mentioned
Occasionally I've driven a manual 113 in Melbourne with a failed first gear, but automatic 111 was real good in performance as it often was in the correct gear for the performance desired.

What has me disappointed the most is a serious drone noise in sync with speed. Tyres are Continentals and are suppose to be the good type. I hope it is not the wheel bearings.

Does your van has same or similar noise?

It has mild rear end noise if the floor mat is out but about what I'd expect.
Ive had a lot of Mercs over 30 years and never had one with a Gearbox I like, My E500's 7 speed is also quite stupid but the rest of the car is fantastic.
My Merc first was a near new 280TE and I'd have to say it was the best car of the lot. A close friend still has it and its still perfect.
