w124 300ce. Whats this device?

Post by datzed »

Anyone know whats going on with that controller looking device near the power window switches (just below the transmission selector). Both pictures are from a 1990 300CE 24V (top pic is a 5 speed, bottom pic is a 4 speed).

:laughing6: :laughing6: :laughing6: ... that's some aftermarket stuff, definitely not original. Maybe some toll thing or an aftermarket heating. Press the buttons and find out

I thought perhaps it was a ride height controller, but the 300CE didn't get the hydraulic rear end.
The two cars pictured are both for sale atm so unfortunately I cant test.

Possibly had aftermarket audio and that might have been the remote for it.
On sale might of removed the aftermarket audio and reinstalled original audio but not removed the remote
