W124 1995 E220 CD Stacker

Post by Budgie »

Hi All,
Just purchased a 95 E220 and looking for a CD stacker to install (unless it's there and I can't find it) anyone have one they'd like to part with or can recommend an after market one to buy that will be plug and play?

I have a 1993 124 with a 10 stacker
which I hardly use and now am happy to pass it on esp. as I am also planning to part the car out due to the fact that I am on pension and not travelling that much.
Car has done 302,000 kms and is a great ride. BUT I have a 95 which has just clicked over 200,000 km. !! Leather and air (which works). It's my third 124..
wow cars! easy DYI maintenance with the help of John, our sponsor and team (plus a bit of u-tube) ! and club members here, with BIG thanks..

Please message me if interested in the C-D unit or more
regards
B.

Do you actually have the original audio unit in the car?

M.B.'s of that era were supplied to Australia with no head unit. M.B. Oz installed locally sourced Eurovox which catered for odd Oz FM frequencies.

If you still have the original Eurovox. This was the stacker I had in my W202's - in the boot. : http://www.electronicrepairs.com.au/ind ... rious-10cd

Eurovox being Oz sourced didnt have anything to do with international conventions
As such the head unit has a ‘special’ connector for the cable between it and the CD stacker.
My advice is go and get a aftermarket modern unit with all the bells and whistles.
Keep the Eurovox and pyt it back in when you sell the car.

My W204 unit has a hard drive you can down load music files too - as well as a SD card spot, USB and an old aux port.

F.W.I.W.
Those last series W124 E220’s ate really good cars.
The only real issue to worry about is the engine wiring harness.
