Blower motor...or brushes anyone

Post by xbberni » Wed 09 Jan, 2019 12:08 pm

It's a Bosch dual fan and seized on the stub of the brushes. so much the engine would not fire. A few hits in the area did revive eng start contact. OPV relay is good now while blower and wiper removed.

Would that have also caused the flap mechanism.. a fuse for that ?? Happy to consider buying used one or new BRUSHES as I wont keep this ole 2 owner limo much longer...me getting pension only is the need to get down to 1 car.
HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL

MB never sold the brushes as a separate part, you needed to buy the entire assembly. No idea if Bosch ever offered them. One the earlier cars they did have them for sale from the local Bosch distributor.

If you car is the early version with no cabin filter, I have some good used unit here. 02 6239 3236.

adapted a Behr using grinder on plastic housing, know this is sad but can repl. from many a wreck...works quite well and quiet. May reco the old orig. double as the Behr is only single.
Pneumatics seem to req. engine running, then it works the fresh air flap. Many thanks for your advice, info and professionalism always!
