Fuel Pump Voltage

Post by BlueG »

Hope that someone can shed some light on a problem I am having with a 2005 W211 E280 petrol.

Car intermittently turns over but won’t start. Traced the problem to the fuel pump as when I thump the underside of the tank the pump starts. However before I replace the pump I checked the supply voltage and it is only 10.5 VDC at the sender unit connector under the seat. Could this be a problem with the SAM unit and not the pump.

Thanks
