I made a video on how I replaced the struts on my wagen as there was almost nothing out there in the step by step.

That's a great little video! I don't own a 280TE, but your yellow wagon looks very nice. In fact that W123 style is growing on me!

Nothing to forgive for that video - excellent how to.
I too had one get stuck insitu - an easy out did then trick but I was worried it would snap. Your "grap it" drill out seems a lot more robust.

Nathan - Great video. Just replaced mine on 280TE and fortunately didn't experience any problems.

yeah, the old noggin can cop a floggin from that tailgate!
if i was doing the job again i wouldnt have the stripping problem i encountered on the passenger side, this occurred as i had no idea how to drop the roof fully and poorly angled my allen key.
the car is no where near as tidy as one would think, but ill get it there.
we have done a few restos of various mercs, and this one has already started with part accumulations, from door strips to chome to rear bumper lights. there is a lot that will go into it. as has kindly been pointed out, ill be looking to fit split fold middle seats rather than the current bench, and also the rear 6/7 seat as this one has only 5!!
this is the car on its first drive a couple of months ago as it had been sitting for a while!
