Air Pump

Post by leoramon1952 » Mon 05 Feb, 2018 1:39 pm

Hi all, trying to open the air pump of my 280E and having trouble getting it apart, I don't want to break anything
does anyone know how to open it up so I can have a go at fixing it.

Started out with nothing, got most of it left

Remove it completely.
Plug the exhaust and inlet manifold connections, remove the pump and put a suitable drive belt on to bypass the smog pump.
It is a waste of fuel and engine power and they stuff up quickly.
