Turn indicator relay W123

Post by Lance »

Hello all,
Does anyone know of where I can find a turn indicator relay for the W123 in Melbourne? Mine has died and I need a new one urgently for my daily driver 280E. It is the later model type with the relay under the console in front of the gearstick.

Hi Lance - Aside from asking the Sponsor, go out to Jollys in Ringwood - There is a 230TE there and am pretty sure all relays etc were still in situ last weekend.

Before you go away and buy anything, have you checked your hazard switch for corrosion / correct operation? A faulty one could be interfering with the operation of your turn signal.

W126s and R107s before 1985 use the same 4-pin turn signal relay as W123 so you could also salvage one from those.

Interesting as the hazards work and after leaving them on for a few seconds, the indicators started working so I will investigate.
I will try to get a spare from one of the cars mentioned, thanks for the comments.

From the w123 upull wrecks I know of at present in Melbourne area, the kilsyth has all relays gone, I grabbed the hazard switch in ringwood but I think the relay stuff under dash and side passenger wall are still there (On Tuesday the 15th)
