It is sad....people just do not seem to do the ONE ON ONE communication anymore.

Makes me feel old sometimes, when I wonder how long a smartphone can keep you occupied.

Anyway, I remember seeing a picture posted by Thomas, of a cafe in Ireland or Schotland:

"No we don't have WIFI, just talk to each other" :laughing6:

i have a smart phone, which is practically falling to pieces , no sound unless i have the loud speaker on (which Is why i am so slow to answer...) and apple no longer support them. At least it's a 4 G and not a 2 G that i saw someone trying to use the other day.. LOL!. But think back to 1980... there are people on this earth who are 30 years old, not young any more, who have never known a world with out mobile phones, no internet , no email. A world that meant if you were leaving the office or workplace you had to tell someone where you headed and leave a number to contact you there. You would occasionally stop and use a public phone to ring back to work in case there were messages . Fax machines were the most technical thing and everyone knew how to use one. Remember that damned squealing coming down the line when the phone rang and you answered it, only to find a fax was being sent? Today my printer has a fax but it also has it's own email address and wifi network... the damned printer!. And most annoying, the only time you paid for the phone was if you made a toll call and the line rental. Now you get raped over a barrell.
