My latest project (non-Benz) 6.0Litre LS and 6 speed auto into my 1982 XJ6 Jaguar

Post by Dean 560 SEC » Wed 30 Aug, 2017 6:51 pm

Hi All

For anyone interested I've just commenced work on my latest project - putting a 6.0 Litre Chev LS and 6L80E 6 speed auto into my 1982 XJ6 Jaguar.

Ive owned the car for almost 17 years, and after 2 blown head gaskets and 1 fully rebuilt motor (shipped mine from Perth to Melbourne to Mike Roddy Jaguar then back) Ive had enough of unreliable motoring.

Check out the build thread here at Performance Forums http://www.performanceforums.com/forums ... (1982-XJ6)

Feel free to throw the love or hate in your comments below!

Chevies into Xj's has been done since the poor old XJ6 appeared on the market. 45 years ago a mate put a supercharged 350 in his series one after the engine died.
, so it's been done a lot .And if a a 'girl ' can put one in a BMW anyone can. Check out the adaptable engine mounts shes's used. https://youtu.be/q_86qcypC6A
