Post by newMercowner69 » Mon 08 Oct, 2018 3:11 pm

Does anyone either have or know where i can source one of above for C200/W202 preferably here in Melbourne,
Or Anywhere in Oz?,
It's the plastic gear wheel that fits/sits inside the wiper motor,
Mine's stripped,

Cheers&ta,

Hi, unfortunately the plastic gear is not a spare part and MB do not consider the wiper unit to be a "serviceable" part. You will need to find a complete used assembly that has been stripped and greased every so often, so it is not like yours.

You need to grease them every year.
This goes for all single wipers.
Search the you tube videos on how to.

If your wiper blade starts slowing down then it's probably a sign of urgent requirement of a re greasing

Surely there's a MB part number stamped somewhere on the plastic wheel to identify it?,
SOME component supplier had to or must've made it specifically for MB?,
Bosch/Valeo?,
Or even MB themselves?.

All of the above would be correct, however I don;t think that is going to assist your search. Over the years there have been some enterprising companies who have reproduced various internal parts where MB have never made them available, one example I can think of is the gears that break in W126 odometers, however I have never seen these gears anywhere.
