Indonesian Hospitality in Yogyakarta

Post by markb » Wed 30 May, 2018 7:56 pm

Hi All,

I write this from the heat of Jakarta, having been away form Melbourne for 2 weeks, out of a planned 3 months SE Asia tour.
Through the power of Instagram, I found and messaged a group "w202jogja" the Yogyjakarta W202 owners' club. I not only received a warm welcome, but attended their 'breaking of fast' dinner (it's Ramadam here in the Islamic-world) What a great bunch of enthusiasts who love their w202's. Very family-oriented too with wives, girlfriends and children all in attendance on a Saturday night. Their IG site Administrator-Andi, not only drove me to/fro their dinner, he insisted on taking me to the airport.

Just shows how easily enthusiasts can connect and be welcomed

Stay warm people
