He was almost right. To get full marks he needed to say
"They're bringing Mercedes."

a quote from the owner :
I sent my assistant and he said that Ivanka approached the flat bed driver asking to buy the car. He then went to my guy for my asking price. Unfortunately I had to be in Miami for a meeting. In any case, I live in CA and would not have been able to be there. I wish I was, however.

That is pretty good, although it does beg the question as to why someone from our forum, with the good taste to have owned two W108's, a W126 and a W113, should be searching for Ford or Holden utes? :snooty: Can't you import one of those snazzy Mercedes utes from South America, like Thomas?

Mongrel #2 is based on a beetle
But Mongrel #3? Based on a Citroen DS?

OK, that is a relief. I was thinking a Holden ute was about to appear on your "Current Fleet" list. Now, if we can just convince the Forum Sponsor to get rid of his Ford ute ...

The back end of #3 sort of reminds me of a Porsche 911 body but the roofline and sides look a bit like an older Studebaker Hawk, although the Studebaker would have had
fins. Who knows what the front end is/was. Something not even close to it's original shape.
I'm sure it's something else, but those were my first impressions.

Not to be outdone...
"FOR INTERSTATE BUYERS I CAN HELP WITH FRIGHT AT YOUR EXPENCE. NOTE THE ENGINE DOESN'T START BECAUSE THE HEAD GASKETS ARE GONE."

Yep, its a Halloween experience with all the witches & interstate fright at our expence (does he mean a non pound currency i.e GBP is an ex-pence?)...
Oh and the head gaskets are "gone"...must be all that interstate fright.

Apparently its rare to find an Astral Silver with cream leather A380 SEC, im sure it is.

What are those bumpers off of? This looks more like a 1000 dollar donor parts car to me.
Someone did quite some effort to make it less desirable...

Also look at the $$$ he wants for it..

I could say so much, but I'll bit my tongue and remain speechless. There should be a law against this.

I went and looked at a W116 450 in Perth last week. I believe these sellers are somehow related.

I left the 450 sellers premises before the drug squad raided the place. All he could tell me about the car was "it's a Daimler mate".

So you missed out on all the action?
Pity, I have an evil streak where I love to see people dragged out of their home by the riot squad....

Reminds me of the work by a guy called "Moses" in Darwin.

He proudly showed me how he bolted a jaguar bumper on the back of his Citroen SM, as well as the front spoiler from a Ford :puke:

Perth W126 Coupe gangsta's be like.....

* My number plate is off centred because Im off centred.
* Special tool? Ha, I can cut the rear bumper exhaust outlet with any crap tool from Bunnings. Its meant to look jaggered.
* Mmm! I cut the exhaust outlet in the wrong section. Stuff it. I will let the heat from the exhaust tip burn a new hole in the bumper. Burning bumper plastic shows the rice cookers that Im a serious contender.

You are very unfair to that guy. There is only one hole in the number plate and he didn't know how to drill one. He also considered the infrared receiver left of the boot lock. So by putting the plate slightly to the right, the weight distribution is even again .... :laughing6: not considering the weight of the driver ...
