And any car that does 8's is only panels from production car most will be tubular chassis under the panels and shares as much with a road car as the current EClass race car.
Hehe fair enough! I can't imagine how nuts that would be to drive though. And I wonder why it's left hand drive? Maybe to clear something on the engine or a chassis that has been imported? :dontknow:

Amazing, and he owns a Merc too...
My mum had a E38 brand new ,and a stock one was an incredible car, still are actually.
Guys car was still registered but I think it has more to do with taxation details. He runs a diesel shop on the southern end of the motorway from here. He started off 20+ years ago by lowering it,then installing a ford diff( so it wouldn't look like an overloaded beetle) *which was still in the car when the vid was made!,followed by a Chev 350 which got more and more mods as the need for speed grew. Now he has an alloy block 427 etc etc .

And Davd the reason most drag cars are made left hand drive is becauce off engine rotation. With driver on the left you act as a counter balance to torque twist with the car making it hopefully go straiter. Thats if you got your maths rite

That front apron is almost up with the 230SL for sale at last Sunday's MB display at Flemington....for some reason the car had a rear apron that hung down below the bodywork and it looked s**t...

It is a wonder Daimler AG allows those friggen "AMG" plates to be sold via ebay. I know someone who sells repro body plates etc for mercedes and the maker is getting worried that Daimler is going to crack down on them, although they are simply offering new copies of owners existing plates.

That one has been around for a while now and I'm sure won't be selling any time soon. I wonder if the lower ride height is just because of all the extra crap on the car?

Jaysuz every picture it gets worse and the icing on the cake is the engine bay, with carby and hot air intake. No hang on, daring to take another look, I spy four holes cut into the bonnet.
As to why? Part of it is that 201s are pretty cheap, then there is ebay/internet where you buy this classy stuff easily enough, then there is AMG, which promotes and makes ordinary Benzes into something more desirable, so people think, hmmnh I can't afford a proper AMG so I'll build my own and then they get addicted. Perhaps also the evos tend to make people tart up the little old ladies car into a vomit inducing crap pile (note spoiler).
However more disturbing are those that try to offload an ordinary Merc as an AMG (like that 320CE) to the unsuspecting.

From the door I think it is a W116 -.... no, I'm wrong since he says it is "really good on fuel."

It also needs two new tyers on the rear. I don't know everything about cars, but I have never heard of tyers. He also mentions something called a "passinger". Certainly a strange set of photos. They do however give me enough information to know that I don't want the car at any price.

He's also selling a VL that's great on fuel.

He claims he "was about to put tint on the windows." An excellent selling point that one. It has no tint, but he was gunna do it.

He's also got another ad: "Wanted: trying to save the entire worlds air" Classic.

Nonsense - all it takes is a bit of muscle:

Ron, this bloke is your kinda guy - a greenie with a rather effeminate demeanour and a do-gooder save-the-world attitude. :laughing6:

I don't understand why he has the flat face of the van at the front. I would have thought that massively increased drag.

And this one is even crazier:

Life is a journey, with problems to solve, lessons to learn, but most of all, experiences to enjoy.

'83 W123 300D 325000km (Wife's car Josephine - sold).
'84 W123 300D replaced good OM617 912 with OM617 952 and enjoyed having good acceleration for the first time since first driving a 300D in 2002 - became engine and trans donor for 300CD Turbodiesel conversion. Now parted out.
