Where to buy parts for 1954 180 merc?

Post by wilsonjermy » Tue 05 Jun, 2018 6:10 pm

I am new to this site (although registered long ago), I have a Mercedes 1954 180 sedan, and I like to know where I can buy parts to it? I need body parts: like the front grill and bumper.
The car is for a mechanic who will take care of it and I will know what is required in the near future, but I would appreciate any info where I can buy parts for it,

thanks all, and looking forward to put the status and pics of how it is going along .....

You can buy reproduction bumpers in stainless steel - http://sgbumperscar.com/mercedes-benz-m ... pers-.html

Several members on here have purchased from them (including myself) and can recommend.

The grille you'll need to find secondhand. I know of someone locally who has wrecked a few roundies, I can ask if he has a spare grille if you want.

As for other parts, there are a few places online in the USA that still have replacement parts like brake cylinders, gaskets etc.

There is a bit of stuff on the two flee bays in Germany
I also use https://www.mailboxde.com to ship inside Germany and they forward it on to Australia. No need to negotiate with sellers to send to Australia and the rates are reasonable too and pretty large items can be sent.
You can use PayPal for all the above too, so you do get the privilege of buyer protection.
