Paint Code for a 309D

Can anyone help with a paint code for a 309D 1985 model - VIN WDB60246210716906.

I think its Sahara Yellow - my WIS wont access the datacard.

Thanks for your help.

I've found out from a German website that whilst the paint code/colour is not recognised as a Mercedes colour, it is a standard colour - the 1011 has to have RAL in front of it and hey presto every auto paint shop can mix up brown/beige for me.

Apparently a lot of commercial vehicles got painted this way, the buyer could choose any colour they liked from "RAL" standard colours - RAL is the paint equivalent of Australian Standards Assc. If you do a weblookup on RAL+ number you can get on screen colour swatches as well.

The 1011 paint code was on the cab ID plate as well, so the info was there all along - just not in a useful format.

Hope that helps anyone who is struggling with a colour match on an earlier vehicle.
