The latest M.B Spares and Service newsletter is out and there is a bombshell in it.......... ... No113.aspx

Don't worry forum sponsorship remains the same as most of you are parts customers not workshop customers....

I did a poor job of merging the topics, so here's my post again:

Newsletter 113: Changes to MB Spares.

Not sure really where to put this..

I've just read Newsletter 113. ... No113.aspx

Sorry to see the Benz mechanic with the best rep in the country take a step back, but on the other hand most of us on here are already in the >20 year category (only three years to go for me!)

I'm sure I'm not alone in wishing Mr Green all the best. Lets hope we get to see lots of piccies of the amazing restorations

All the best, John!

John, just wanted to wish you all the best for the future, with the anouncement to sell the workshop side of things mentioned in M.B Spares Newsletter 113

At the end of the day you have to do what is best for your health and your family.
I imagine your doctors are telling you, do you want to live for 3 years or 30 years? Stress, blood pressure and lifestyle play a huge factor in all of these.

The prospect of a down under style classic center, a workshop that specializes in restoration work and services on classic MB's must be another MB first in Australia?

At the end of the day if you have the best mechanics, best paint and panel people, the best trimmers on your team you will succeed, people will pay extra for quality and care.

Will the Business name change John? are we in danger of our forum disapearing?

Hi John,

From an interstate memeber, I'm glad the parts service is remaining, since that's all of your business I've ever used (plus this forum of course)

But your health is more imporantant than the other stuff, so its good you've found a way to keep your passion, but reduce the wrokload/stress.

All the best in this transation.

Hi John,

Just read your latest newsletter and wish you the very best of continuing success with the new direction. We haven't met yet but as I've just taken up ownership of a 1964 220S our paths may cross sometime in the future.

Hope they do.

Hi John,

I just read your latest newsletter and would like to say that while I have my cars and you are trading as a spares supplier, I will know where my first port of call is.

I wish you well in your change of direction.
