Water pump replacement
Hi , I am replacing the water pump on my 77 280se. I cannot get to the two lower bolts on the water pump to remove it as it looks like I have to remove that balancer. Do I have to remove the large bolt in the middle to remove it or the 6 hex screws? Or is there an easier way to get to those lower bolts? Thanks for any advice.

Re: Water pump replacement
From memory its the hex bolts. and yes you'll need to remove it to do the water pump on the M110. The hardest part for me was the bolts on the viscous fan as they had been rounded before. With a bit of penetrating fluid balancer came off easily. I think I used an allen socket and a breaker bar.Cream 280SE wrote:Hi , I am replacing the water pump on my 77 280se. You'll end up with a parts pile looking something like this:
