Yes, worked fine now. Very impressive. A lot of man-hours were spent on the bodywork. Rust and rot everywhere. All those photos of isolated parts would make great "What does this do?" quiz questions.
I thought the stitching on the door looked shoddy, without realising they were going to cover it with a chrome strip.

Henry is one of the worlds most well known Merc restorers and that is how an early car should be restored by a professional.

Thanks for the link Ron, those 170's are very interesting cars. I've seen a few of them locally, a 170SD and an unrestored 170. They look a bit dinky as sedans but the roadster is just gorgeous!

Yep the roadster are very cool cars, I think I would hit my head on the roof of the coupe!
