Hi All,

Would anyone know how many Mercedes 560sl models where sold in Australia from 1986 to 1989??

Hi,

I only know that 49347 560 SL where built.
255 had a right hand drive, like you have in Australia an Japan.
However most of the 560 SL exported to Japan where Left hand drive.

Hi George,
if anyone knows figures ... Marcel knows. So in case you're interested in the average shoe size of all 300SL-buyers who took the 5-speed and an airbag, he knows :occasion5:

just on another note my 560sl has a non original wood steering wheel.
Its a 1986 model with no airbag i have found what i believe is the correct wheel but the seller told me it was fitted to a w124 but can fit my R107, its 400mm wide.

I just want to know how wide is the original factory one?

George, the correct steering wheel to fit a 1986-1989 R107 is identical to a post 09-85 W126. so that's from sept 86-end of production run.

w124 will fit, but is wrong offset and diameter.
