W113 WIPER SWITCH
part no 0025455424 for RHD drive Pagoda car is not available from MB or most MB parts suppliers. Plenty of LHD units available in USA and Germany. Has any member got any informaton on where I could source one, new or second hand?
Will a LHD switch be suitable? all I need to replace is the push lever, stalk is OK but not sure if push switch can be dismantled from stalk.

Re: W113 WIPER SWITCH
Hey Bill,
I found out on USA cars the indicator stalk is mounted on the left hand side of the steering wheel.
Could be able to use a LHD unit.

Hi Bill (and Bob et al)
Re your wiper switch, I have fitted a used American stalk and switch and turn indicator to my 1964 230SL without a problem. I broke the old one in a panic when faced with a hail storm some years ago.
Check with me and I can let you know where to buy these (from a pagoda wreckers I found in the States). I may even have the old one if you want to try a repair.

Re: W113 WIPER SWITCH
Hi Barry, good to see you on our forum. Bill's car is a 280SL and the switch is differant. Oddly you can at the moment buy a new RHD switch for a 230SL but not a 280SL.
I have often thought that the swap over could not be that hard, just swap a few wires over but to chicken to order a new one and experiment, if you do it bill send in a post showing us how,

Re: W113 WIPER SWITCH
Hi John & Others,
I finally got round to fitting the new LHD wiper switch I purchased from the SL Shop Germany - no problems at all and they supplied the coding for wires.
